WE’RE GOING ON THE RADIO!!

The media industry is one of the things that has changed the most in the shortest amount of time. The old AM/FM transistor radio has given way to countless formats, new channels, and a wide variety of tools and platforms designed to improve global communication. The descendants of that old transistor have opened a door to the world, allowing us to connect anywhere and at any time, with the added advantage of listening to content on demand, whenever we want.

Still, some of us remain nostalgic. Those of us who prefer turning the dial. Those who still enjoy traditional radio.
Public radio should be plural, impartial, educational, and entertaining… but now is not the time to start discussing radio in depth — just enough to tell you that part of the Món del Cava team went on the radio. On Catalunya Ràdio.

Among the new forms of entertainment, podcasts have emerged strongly: short- or medium-length radio capsules, recorded and available on multiple platforms as well as through the station that produces them.

One of these podcasts, produced by Catalunya Ràdio and hosted by Empar Moliner, is called “Tast Vertical.” This program talks mainly about wine. From every angle, with all its nuances, similarities, and differences… but always about wine.

During the summer, on a date that will soon be announced, the episode in which we participated will be broadcast. Empar and her team invited us to talk about what we offer at Món del Cava and how we can advise, especially private individuals, so they can create their own sparkling wine.

We explained, in a simple and engaging way, the process that goes from the vineyard to the glass of cava, without going too deeply into technical details, because every case must be treated individually depending on the amount of sparkling wine to be produced and, above all, on the final product we want to achieve.

Our cava should be the one we enjoy the most, the one we can create with care and passion. Keeping these ideas clear, our cava will undoubtedly be the best.

During the explanation of this process, we were joined by our friends from Vibracions, Esteve and Júlia, who proposed a spectacular pairing inspired by the Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini and the variations by Sergei Rachmaninoff. It was fascinating to see how they managed, through music, to accompany the process of cava creation through its different stages. A true pleasure for the senses. A pairing that is absolutely and wholeheartedly recommended.
